One day, out of the blue I search Craig’s List for “floor loom”. I wasn’t really looking. Did it once long time ago, realized I couldn’t afford even a used one. And where would I put it?
But then this one pops up. $200. Plus a rental truck. I had no idea what I was buying, I did not know the first think about looms. But it was a deal. 8 shaft, 10 treadles (I might have my terminology wrong, still learning). A few hrs spent cleaning it and figuring out if and how it works. No name, probably custom made. 36 in wide (today I realized it’s more like 34 workable width). A couple of pieces missing, so I have it working as a 4 shaft loom, which is really enough for me.
This is a second projects I’ve done. Still learning, using some stash yarn before I make new investments.
